NOTICE OF HEARING ON APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 13th day of August 2026 at 6:00 PM, prevailing time, at the Middle Township Municipal Building, located at Boyd and Mechanic Streets, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, the Middle Township Zoning Board will hold a hearing on the application for development of the undersigned.

The Applicant is seeking minor site plan approval for the operation of a Kennel within an existing barn on the property. The Applicant received prior approvals and use variance approval for the operation of the Kennel as a home occupation pursuant to Resolution #241104. The Applicant intends to convert the home occupation operation to a commercial business operation, which makes the existing barn a principal use building. Kennels are a permitted use within the RC zone; however, Kennels are not a permitted use within the VC zone. Therefore, the applicant is seeking a D-1 use variance from Section 250-412 of the Zoning Ordinance for the operation of a kennel business within the VC zone, as well as relief from Section 250-606 to permit more than one principal use structure on the property; relief from Section 218-77(B) off street parking number of spaces, Section 218-77(A)(6) off street parking distance to a building. The Applicant is also seeking the following waivers: stone paving in lieu of asphalt for the driveway and parking area per Section 218-77.C; curing around the perimeter of the parking area per Section 218-77.A(10)(a); providing a traffic study; environmental impact assessment and report; and a community impact statement; together with any and all other variances and or waivers that the Board Engineer may identify or require in a review memorandum or letter or that the Board may deem necessary at the time of the hearing.

A copy of the said application and accompanying documents will be on file with the Secretary of the Middle Township Planning/Zoning Board Officer and may be inspected, during normal business hours, in the Middle Township Planning/Zoning Office, Middle Township Municipal Building, Boyd and Mechanic Streets, Cape May Court House, New Jersey, by all interested parties at least ten (10) days prior to the said hearing. Further, any interested party may appear in person or by attorney at said hearing and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Middle Township Planning/Zoning Board. This notice is sent pursuant to the requirements of the Municipal Land Use Law.
