PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 14th day of May, 2026 at 6:00 PM, prevailing time, at the Middle Township Municipal Building, located at Boyd and Mechanic Streets, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, the Middle Township Zoning Board will hold a hearing on the application for development of the undersigned. The Applicant seeks Site Plan Approval and variances to construct a monastery, which will consist of a Temple and associated dormitories, and dining facility for visiting monks and nuns, which will require relief from the following ordinance section: Section 250-606 one principal structure and use on one lot; Section 250-406(B) Permitted uses; Section 250-513(F) Conditional Religious Use Standards (Building height for the Temple); and waivers from the requirement to provide a traffic study, environmental impact assessment and report, and a community impact statement, together with any and all other variances and or waivers that the Board Engineer may identify or require in a review memorandum or letter or that the Board may deem necessary at the time of the hearing.
A copy of the said application and accompanying documents will be on file with the Secretary of the Middle Township Planning/Zoning Board Officer and may be inspected, during normal business hours, in the Middle Township Planning/Zoning Office, Middle Township Municipal Building, Boyd and Mechanic Streets, Cape May Court House, New Jersey, by all interested parties at least ten (10) days prior to the said hearing. Further, any interested party may appear in person or by attorney at said hearing and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Middle Township Planning/Zoning Board. This notice is sent pursuant to the requirements of the Municipal Land Use Law.
