Subject: AMENDING AWARD CONTRACT FOR SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION WITH PINELANDS CONSTRUCTION, LLC

Nay:
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2024 Township Committee awarded a contract for Solid Waste and Recycling Collection to Pinelands Construction, LLC for a five (5) year term, and
WHEREAS, the bid specifications stated “in the event any new collection(s) are added to this contract, the Township and the Contractor shall negotiate a price that is reasonable for the Township and the Contractor. The amount shall then be prorated into the bid amount.”, and
WHEREAS, the Township has added 128 homes to the collection route and has negotiated a price of $20 per home per month, therefore amending the contractual price by $30,720 per year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Middle, the governing body thereof, that the agreement between Township and said contractor is hereby amended to include the additional homes at a cost of an additional $30,720 per year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this award is conditioned upon certification of availability of funds.

I, Kimberly D. Osmundsen, Township Clerk of the Township of Middle, Cape May County, do hereby certify the foregoing to be a true and correct copy of a Resolution adopted by the Township Committee at a meeting of said Middle Township Committee, held on February 2, 2026 and said Resolution was adopted by not less than a two-thirds vote of the members of the Township Committee.
