RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT WITH ACKMACK CORP. FOR THE PROVISION OF UNIFORMS FOR THE WILDWOOD WATER AND SEWER UTILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Wildwood (the “City”) Water and Sewer Utility has a need to purchase uniforms for employees and personnel; and
WHEREAS, ACKMACK Corp. d/b/a Acme Uniforms for Industry has provided the City with a proposal to provide the Water and Sewer Utility with uniforms at the rates as set forth in said proposal, attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, the City has budgeted Nine Thousand Thirty-Seven and 92/100 ($9,037.92) Dollars for the contract, said amount falling below the bid threshold as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-3; and
WHEREAS, due to the amount of the contract, the same may be awarded without public bidding pursuant to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to award a contract to ACKMACK Corp. for a term of one (1) year with two (2) one (1) year renewal options at the pricing and terms as set forth in the proposal; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Qualified Purchasing agent has reviewed and approved the proposal, and the Chief Financial Officer has certified as to the availability of funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the provisions of the above preamble of this Resolution are hereby incorporated by reference as if set forth at length.
2. That a contract for the purchase of uniforms for the City of Wildwood Water and Sewer Utility is hereby awarded to ACKMACK Corp. d/b/a Acme Uniforms for Industry, 420 Howell Street, Bristol, PA 19007 in an amount not to exceed Nine Thousand Thirty-Seven and 92/100 ($9,037.92) Dollars for the 2026 contract year.
3. That the Mayor, City Clerk and any other appropriate City Officials hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract and directed to take all such actions necessary to effectuate the purposes of this resolution.
4. That a notice of contract award shall be published as required by law
