CITY OF NORTH WILDWOOD PLANNING BOARD
PUBLIC NOTICE OF HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Mitchell and Mary Kowal (collectively the “Applicant”), have applied to the Planning Board of the City of North Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey, seeking bulk variance relief relating to the real property located at 222 E. 2nd Avenue, North Wildwood, New Jersey 08260 (Block 249, Lot 7)(the “Property”). The Property is located in Single-Family Residential (“R-1”) Zoning District. The Applicant is requesting bulk variance relief pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70(c)(2) and from the applicable provisions of the Land Development Ordinance of the City of North Wildwood, including, without limitation, Section 276-15, pertaining to permitted gross square footage of a shed or accessory building which permits a square footage up to 150 sq. ft. The Property is currently being developed with a single-family residential dwelling, and, through this application, the Applicant is also proposing to construct an approximately 364 sq. ft. pool house located fully within the rear yard of the Property. The proposed pool house will not be a separate dwelling unit, and it is intended only to be accessory and subordinate to the principal single-family dwelling. The Applicant also requests any and all other variances, approvals, and/or waivers that the City of North Wildwood Planning Board or its professionals may deem necessary at the time of the hearing on this application.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing on this application will be held before the City of North Wildwood Planning Board on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 901 Atlantic Avenue, North Wildwood, New Jersey 08260, at which time you may either appear in person or by agent or attorney and present any objection which you may have to the granting of this appeal. Maps and documents, if any, relating to this application will be available for public inspection at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing in the office of the Secretary of the Board, 901 Atlantic Avenue, North Wildwood, New Jersey 08260, during normal business hours. This Notice is given pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-11, et seq., and N.J.S.A. 40:55D-12, et seq., and is being published by order of the City of North Wildwood Planning Board.
