CITY OF WILDWOOD PLANNING/ZONING BOARD
NOTICE OF APPLICATION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Douglass Candies Corporation (the “Applicant”) has applied to the Planning/Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City of Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey seeking minor site plan approval relating to the property known as 3301 Boardwalk, Wildwood, New Jersey 08260 (Block 270, Lot 1). The subject property is located in the Boardwalk Redevelopment Plan Zoning District (“BRZ”). The subject property is currently developed with an open-air pavilion having seating areas for patrons of the Wildwood Boardwalk. The Applicant is requesting minor site plan approval from the Board in order to situate a mobile sales stand within the pavilion for the sale of food items such as ice cream and similar confections. Eight (8) tables with four (4) seats each are also proposed and offered to accommodate patrons. The project is intended to supplement the existing candy shop also owned by the Applicant located directly across the Boardwalk from the subject property. There are preexisting nonconforming conditions of the subject property relating to minimum lot area, minimum lot depth, minimum rear yard setback, maximum building coverage, and maximum lot coverage which will not be exacerbated whatsoever by the proposed development through this application. The Applicant is also requesting waivers from the requirement to submit a lighting plan and landscaping plan. The Applicant additionally requests any and all variances, approvals and/or waivers that the Board and/or its professionals may deem necessary and appropriate at the time of the hearing on this application.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held before the Planning/Zoning Board on this Application on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room located on the second floor of City Hall, 4400 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood, New Jersey. If you have any comments regarding this Application, you have the right to attend the meeting and be heard. At least ten (10) days prior to the aforesaid date, the Application, as well as all supporting plans and documents, will be on file in the office of the Board Secretary at City Hall, 4400 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood, New Jersey and available for inspection during normal working hours on any weekday. This Notice is given pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1, et seq.
