PUBLIC NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT Cellco Partnership, d/b/a Verizon Wireless (hereinafter, the “Applicant”) has applied to the Cape May City Planning Board for conditional use approval together with preliminary and final site plan approval which will permit the installation of a new small wireless facility consisting of the replacement of an existing utility pole located within the right-of-way with a new utility pole with communications equipment mounted thereon at the same location. The subject property is located in the right-of-way within the C-3 District near Block 1101, Lot 7 as shown on the City of Cape May tax maps, and nearest to 1045 Beach Avenue, City of Cape May, Cape May County, New Jersey.
Applicant hereby requests conditional use approval pursuant to Article XIII, Chapter 525, Section 525-87 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Cape May (hereinafter, “Ordinance”). Applicant also requests preliminary and final site plan approval pursuant to Chapter 417 of the Ordinance. Applicant further requests all such other relief, including continuation of any existing non-conformities, approvals, variances or waivers/exceptions from design and/or performance standards, as deemed necessary by the Planning Board to develop the subject property in the manner so indicated within the application.
The application is now on the agenda of the Cape May City Planning Board, and a public hearing has been scheduled for June 9, 2026, at 6:00 P.M., at 643 Washington Street, Cape May, New Jersey. All documents pertaining to this application are on file with the Planning Board Secretary and are available for review during regular working hours (M-F 7:30 AM-3:30 PM). Any interested party may appear either in person or by attorney and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Cape May City Planning Board.
