PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant, Cape May County, is requesting authorization for the redevelopment of Cape May County Park East. The proposed project involves the reconfiguration and construction of new athletic fields, various ball courts, pedestrian walks, a playground, a pavilion consisting of concession, bathrooms, storage, and picnic areas, installation of landscaping and lighting, enhancement of the public safety memorial, and supporting transportation and stormwater infrastructure to renovate and expand the existing recreation facilities on the site. The project is designed within the Cape May Court House CAFRA Regional Center and will result in enhanced public recreational opportunities in this area.
