BOROUGH OF STONE HARBOR, COUNTY OF CAPE MAY, STATE OF NEW JERSEY
NOTICE OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR THE 10206 THIRD AVENUE BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (CONTRACT NO. SH-C-054)
The Borough of Stone Harbor has awarded a Contract with R. Maxwell Construction Co., Inc. for the 10206 Third Avenue Building Improvements Project. The original contract amount approved by the Borough of Stone Harbor was $1,363,000.00. On March 25, 2026, the Borough received Change Order No. 3 reflecting certain reductions and supplemental items necessary to address field conditions, design discrepancies, and additional structural, electrical, and plumbing work encountered during construction. The Mayor and Council find that the additional work reflected in Change Order No. 3 results from unforeseen conditions and/ or differing site conditions encountered during construction. Change Order No. 3 results in a net increase to the contract in the amount of $203,458.84, bringing the total amended contract amount to $1,677.371384, representing a total increase of approximately 23.06% over the original contract amount. The governing body has approved this change order on April 21, 2026 by Resolution 2026-S-131 which copies are readily available in the Office of the Municipal Clerk located at Borough Hall, 9508 Second Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247 or by emailing parkinsonj@shnj.org.
