ORDINANCE NO. 2006
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ORDINANCE 1177, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the terms of Class II and Class III members of the Planning Board are not outlined clearly and leave room for misinterpretation; and
WHEREAS, Council has deemed it prudent and appropriate to clarify said matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of North Wildwood, in the County of Cape May & State of New Jersey as follows:
Section One. The portion of Ordinance 1177, as amended, that has been codified in the Code of the City of North Wildwood at §276-57B is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
B. The term of the member composing Class I shall correspond with his official tenure. The term of the member composing Class II shall be for one year. The term of the member composing Class III shall terminate at the completion of his or her respective term of office. The term of a Class IV member who is also a member of the Environmental Commission shall be for three years or terminate at the completion of his or her term as a member of the Environmental Commission, whichever comes first.
Section Two. If any portion of this Ordinance is determined to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that determination shall have no effect upon the remainder of this Ordinance, which shall remain valid & operable.
Section Three. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, to the extent of such inconsistencies only, be & the same hereby are repealed.
Section Four. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage & publication as provided by Law.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
ORDINANCE 1177, AS AMENDED
TAKE NOTICE that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of North Wildwood, County of Cape May and State of New Jersey, on the 7th day of April, 2026. A second reading, hearing and final consideration of the above Ordinance will be held on the 5th day of May, 2026 at 10:00 AM in City Hall. The purpose of this Ordinance is to clarify the terms of certain members of the Planning Board of the City of North Wildwood. Members of the general public who would like a copy of the Ordinance may obtain a copy, free of charge, at the office of the City Clerk in City Hall during normal business hours.
