RESOLUTION
APPROVING EMERGENCY SEWER REPAIR AT 604 W. RIO GRANDE AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Wildwood had an emergency which required immediate attention for an Emergency Repair Declaration (Sewer Line Repair at Lift Station) at 604 West Rio Grande Ave, Wildwood, NJ on 09/04/2025; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected the site and determined in writing that an emergency situation did indeed exist. The Emergency Declaration Letter annexed hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law (NJSA 40A:11-6) Emergency Contracts requires that any contract may be negotiated or awarded for a contracting unit without public advertising for bids or quotes when an emergency affecting the public health, safety or welfare requires immediate performance of services; and
WHEREAS, Perna Finnigan, Inc. of Vineland, NJ is the Emergency Contractor in such instances and submitted a proposal not to exceed Seven Thousand Three Hundred and One Dollars and Fifty-Six Cents ($7,301.56); and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Wildwood has certified that there are sufficient available funds to pay of the referenced vendor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey hereby enters into a contract with Perna Finnigan, Inc. for emergency sewer repair at 604 W. Rio Grande Avenue in the amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Three Hundred and One Dollars and Fifty-Six Cents ($7,301.56).
