RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT (BID A49-25) FOR THE PROVISION OF NATURAL GAS FOR THE SOUTH JERSEY POWER COOPERATIVE

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the South Jersey Power Cooperative (E8802-SJPC) is a purchasing cooperative that consists of various counties and their participating co-op members including numerous municipalities, K-12 school districts, vocational-technical schools, utilities authorities and other municipal agencies; and

WHEREAS, the City of Wildwood (the “City”) is a Participating Member of the SJPC through its respective county pricing co-operative; and

WHEREAS, the County of Camden, who is the current lead agency and on behalf of SJPC, publicly advertised bids for the purpose of procuring the supply and delivery of natural gas services (BID A49-25) through the paper method; and

WHEREAS, on November 14, 2025, a bid opening was conducted for BID A49-25 with Two (2) bids received; and

WHEREAS, Great American Gas and Electric is the lowest responsible bidder for supply and deliver of natural gas service for Groups 1 for the term of 24 months commencing on December 1, 2026, ending November 30, 2028 at the following rates:
Group 1: $2.3652/DTH;

WHEREAS, UGI Energy Services, LLC is the lowest responsible bidder for electric generation for service Groups 2, 2A, 3, 3A, 5, and 5A at the following rates:
Group 2: $2.40/DTH;
Group 2A: $2.13/DTH;
Group 3: $1.90/DTH;
Group 3A: $1.68/DTH;
Group 5: $0.40/DTH;
Group 5A: $.023/DTH;

WHEREAS, Groups 2, 3 and 5 are for the term of 24 months commencing on December 1, 2026, ending November 30, 2028; and

WHEREAS, Groups 2A, 3A and 5A are for the term of 32 months commencing on March 1, 2026; ending November 30, 2028; and

WHEREAS, UGI Energy Services, LLC is the lowest responsible bidders for Secondary-service natural gas accounts located within SJ Gas service territory; and

WHEREAS, the City hereby acknowledges and accepts these bid rates for the service periods referenced above; and

WHEREAS, the City has been a recipient of SJ Gas natural gas generation supply and in good standing; and

WHEREAS, on behalf of the Participating Members of the SJPC, the County of Camden has executed a master agreement with Great American Gas and Electric and UGI Energy Services LLC for the Participating Members of SJPC as described above commencing on the dates specified above; and

WHEREAS, each currently Participating Member of the SJPC, including the City shall encumber funds in accordance with applicable law and hereby acknowledge the terms and conditions of the aforementioned bid and master contract to which it will be bound for the duration of the agreement as noted herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey, hereby authorizes the Qualified Purchasing Agent to enter into said agreement with UGI Energy Services LLC for retail natural gas supply services.

BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall authorize the City of Wildwood to enter in award contract bid A49-25 for retail natural gas supply under the South Jersey Power Cooperative ending November 30, 2028.
