PUBLIC NOTICE

 

You are hereby notified that the undersigned has applied to the City of Cape May Zoning Board seeking approval to construct a frame shed at the rear of 420 & 422 West Perry Street in the City of Cape May (Block 1031, Lot 15). A two-family detached dwelling currently exists on the property, which use is nonconforming, and as such a use variance is required. The lot has several pre-existing nonconforming conditions, including lot size, width and frontage, building setback line, and total side yard setback.  The Applicant may request additional variances and/or waivers as may be identified by the Board and its professionals. 

The Cape May City Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on this application on March 26, 2026 at 6:00 PM, at the Cape May City Hall Auditorium, 643 Washington Street, Cape May, New Jersey.  All documents pertaining to this application will be on file with the Zoning Board Secretary in Cape May City Hall (643 Washington Street, Cape May) at least 10 days prior to the hearing and will be available for public review during regular business hours (M-F 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM).  Any interested party may appear at said hearing and participate therein accordance with the rules of the Cape May City Zoning Board.
