ORDINANCE NO. 2013
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ORDINANCE 1819, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE 1979, AS CODIFIED IN CHAPTER 418, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH WILDWOOD
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of North Wildwood in the County of Cape May, State of New Jersey, as follows:
Section One. The portion of Ordinance 1819, adopted November 4, 2020, as amended by Ordinance 1979, which has been codified in the Code of the City of North Wildwood at §418-60 is hereby amended and supplemented to the extent that §418-60 shall henceforth read as follows:
§418-60. Parking prohibited.
A. On weekdays from September 1 through June 25, inclusive, no person shall park a vehicle upon the following streets or parts thereof between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.:

15th Avenue South Between New Jersey Avenue and Central Avenue
16th Avenue North Between New Jersey Avenue and Central Avenue
25th Avenue South From Central Avenue to a point 280 feet west of
Central Avenue
Central Avenue West Between 25th Avenue and 26th Avenue
Atlantic Avenue East Between 12th Avenue and 13th Avenue
B. On weekdays from September 1 through July 31, inclusive, no person shall park a vehicle upon the following street or part thereof between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.:

Section Two. If any portion of this Ordinance is determined to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that determination shall have no effect upon the remainder of this Ordinance, which shall remain valid and operable.
Section Three. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, to the extent of such inconsistencies only, be and the same hereby are repealed.
Section Four. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication as provided by law.

TAKE NOTICE that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of North Wildwood, County of Cape May and State of New Jersey, on the 7th day of July, 2026. A second reading, hearing and final consideration of the above Ordinance will be held on the 21st day of July, 2026 at 10:00 AM in City Hall. The purpose of this Ordinance is to update areas where parking is regulated near schools in the City of North Wildwood. Members of the general public who would like a copy of the Ordinance may obtain a copy, free of charge, at the office of the City Clerk in City Hall during normal business hours.
