If you fail to do so, judgment by default may be rendered against you for the relief demanded in the Foreclosure Complaint, amended complaint and amendment(s) and order(s), if any. You shall file your Answer and Proof of Service in duplicate with the Clerk of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hughes Justice Complex, 25 West Market Street, Trenton, NJ 08625, in accordance with the Rules of Civil Practice and Procedure. YOU ARE JOINED as a party defendant to this foreclosure action by virtue of the Following: The Heirs, devisees and personal representatives of ERNEST A PAULUS, Borrower, deceased, and his, their or any of their successors in right, title or interest are hereby named party defendants to this foreclosure action as a precaution for any lien, claim or interest they may have in, to or on the mortgaged premises in the event that there are any unknown heirs not disclosed by our surrogate search through the Cape May County Surrogates Office on ERNEST A PAULUS, deceased. ERNEST A PAULUS, his or her heirs, devisees and personal representatives and his, hers, their, or any of their, successors in right, title and interest have been added as party defendants in order to obtain In Rem Jurisdiction over the unknown heirs, and to extinguish any interest that he/she/it has or may have in and to the Mortgaged Property as heir to the Estate of Ernest A Paulus. ERNEST A PAULUS was an original obligor under the Loan Documents, whose indebtedness was secured by the mortgage being foreclosed herein and to extinguish any interest that he/ she/ it has or may have in and to the Mortgaged property. Ernest A Paulus, his or her heirs, devisees and personal representatives and his, hers, their, or any of their, successors in right, title and interest have been are hereby named party defendants to this foreclosure action as a precaution for any lien, claim or interest they may have in, to or on the mortgaged premises in the event that there are any unknown heirs not disclosed by our surrogate search through the Cape May County Surrogates Office on ERNEST A PAULUS, deceased. This Action has been instituted for the purpose of: (1) foreclosing a mortgage dated May 25, 2018 made by ERNEST A PAULUS as mortgagor(s) to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. as nominee for Caliber Home Loans, Inc., its successors and assigns, recorded on May 31, 2018 in Mortgage Book M5973, page 846 for Cape May County, and said mortgage was subsequently assigned to Plaintiff (2) to recover possession of the mortgage premises commonly known as: 432 BREAKWATER ROAD, CAPE MAY, NJ 08204. Said property address being Block 497.01 Lot 20.04 & 20.03 as shown on the Tax Map of City of Cape May, County of Cape May, and State of New Jersey; If you are unable to obtain an attorney, you may contact the New Jersey Bar Association at 732-249-5000.
