NOTICE OF PENDING ORDINANCE

            Notice is hereby given that the following ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest on May 6, 2026 and passed on first reading, and the same was then ordered to be published according to law; and that such ordinance will be further considered for final passage at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held at the Borough Hall in said Borough on May 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. prevailing time, or as soon thereafter as possible, at which time and place all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning such ordinance.

ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILDWOOD CREST AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING Section 79-35 Schedule IVTIME LIMiT PARKING SPACES OF CHAPTER 79 VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILDWOoD CREST

 

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest has determined that it is necessary and proper for good government and the economic prosperity of the business community, the convenience and welfare of the Borough, its inhabitants and visitors to update, amend and supplement Section 79-35 Schedule IV, time limit parking, which provides for parking time limitations on certain streets and specific locations throughout the Borough.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest, in the County of Cape May, New Jersey, as follows:

Section 1.        The portion of Ordinance 388, adopted 8/14/1968, the portion of Ordinance 478, adopted 4/9/1975, the portion of Ordinance 522, adopted 5/24/1978, the portion of Ordinance 592, adopted 5/1/1984, the portion of Ordinance 602, adopted 4/2/1985, the portion of Ordinance 685, adopted 1/11/1989, the portion of Ordinance 634, adopted 5/19/1986, the portion of Ordinance 667, adopted 4/18/1988, the portion of Ordinance 685, adopted 1/11/1989, the portion of Ordinance 703, adopted 8/9/1989, the portion of Ordinance 774, adopted on 6/23/1993, the portion of Ordinance 786, adopted 7/13/1994, the portion of Ordinance 802, adopted 6/14/1995, the portion of Ordinance 819, adopted 6/3/1996, the portion of Ordinance 825, adopted 3/12/1997, the portion of Ordinance 837, adopted 1/14/1998, the portion of Ordinance 858, adopted 3/24/1999, the portion of Ordinance 861, adopted 9/13/1999, the portion of Ordinance 919, adopted 10/23/2002, the portion of Ordinance 969, adopted 2/23/2005, the portion of Ordinance 1009, adopted 5/23/2006, the portion of Ordinance 1075, adopted 3/25/2009, the portion of Ordinance 1170, adopted 6/12/2013, the portion of Ordinance 1172, adopted 7/10/2013, the portion of Ordinance 1191, adopted 6/11/2014, the portion of Ordinance 1237, adopted 5/25/2016, the portion of Ordinance 1296, adopted 2/20/2019, and the portion of Ordinance 1485, adopted 4/15/2026 that had been codified in the Code of the Borough of Wildwood Crest as Section 79-35 of Chapter 79 is hereby amended and supplemented as follows (added language is underlined, deleted language is stricken):

Section 2.        Schedule IV of Section 79-35, entitled time limit parking, is hereby amended and supplemented as follows (added language is underlined, deleted language is stricken):

Section 3.        The remainder of all other sections and subsections of the aforementioned ordinance not specifically amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.

 

Section 4.        All other ordinances in conflict with or inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

 

Section 5.        If any portion of this ordinance is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not affect or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance, but shall be confined in its effect to the provision directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.

 

Section 6.        This ordinance shall become effective twenty (20) days after final passage and advertisement thereof as required by law.
