NOTICE OF PENDING ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that the following ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest on April 1, 2026 and passed on first reading, and the same was then ordered to be published according to law; and that such ordinance will be further considered for final passage at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held at the Borough Hall in said Borough on April 15, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.. prevailing time, or as soon thereafter as possible, at which time and place all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning such ordinance.

ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILDWOOD CREST AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 47 parking meters OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILDWOoD CREST to PRORATE PRICE OF SEASONAL PERMIT AFTER AUGUST 1ST ANNUALLY
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest has determined that it is necessary and proper for good government and the economic prosperity of the business community, the convenience and welfare of the Borough, its inhabitants and visitors to update, amend and supplement Chapter 47, Parking Meters, to prorate the price of seasonal permits to collect paid parking fees by the Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest, in the County of Cape May, New Jersey, as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 232, adopted June 23,
1958, Ordinance No. 704, adopted August 9, 1989, Ordinance No. 1008, adopted May 3, 2006,
Ordinance No.1048, adopted November 6, 2007,
Ordinance No. 1059, adopted March 19, 2008, Ordinance No. 1069, adopted February 25,
2009, Ordinance No. 1136, adopted January 25, 2012, Ordinance No. 1167, adopted
May 8, 2013, Ordinance No. 1181, adopted December 11, 2013, Ordinance No. 1224,
adopted October 21, 2015, Ordinance No.
1238, adopted May 25, 2016, Ordinance No. 1390, adopted December 28, 2022, and
Ordinance No. 1424 adopted March 6, 2024 that has been codified in the Code of
the Borough of Wildwood Crest as Chapter 47, is hereby amended and supplemented
as follows (added language is underlined, deleted language is stricken).

Chapter 47
PAID PARKING ZONES
§ 47-8 Paid Parking Charge.
Rate per hour: Not to exceed $1.50
Seasonal Permit: All zones $250.00
Seasonal Permit purchased August 1st or after $100.00
The Borough shall not be responsible for lost or stolen permits issued pursuant to this chapter, and no replacement permit shall be issued and no refund of any charge or fee shall be made by the Borough.
Section 3. The remainder of all other sections and subsections of the aforementioned ordinance not specifically amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. All other ordinances in conflict with or inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 5. If any portion of this ordinance is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not affect or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance, but shall be confined in its effect to the provision directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective twenty (20) days after final passage and advertisement thereof as required by law.
